The site authors dogs, Dan the Standard Poodle on
the left and Silas the Airedale Terrier on the right. This
photograph was taken on one of our early morning walks. Dan
and Silas are both whistle trained and are excellent companions.
Many people have the wrong impression of the Standard Poodle breed,
thinking that they are slightly delicate dogs that are only any good
in the show ring. In my experience of this breed this is far
from the case. Dan loves nothing better than running around
the countryside. (Under strict supervision from me of course) and is
as rough and tough as any terrier.
