Gardeners cottage
The above photograph is reproduced by kind permission of English Heritage.NMR  The information on the cottage is as follows.

The cottage is the dwelling of the gardener for Melton Hill House, an estate with famed views across the Humber. The cottage was built in 1780 and demolished in 1952.

I have asked many of the elder people in Melton Ross who have lived in the village for many years about this cottage.  So far I have found no one who has any recollections of this cottage.  No one can remember it or the actual site it stood on.
